Preparation and Site Selection for Installing Solar-Powered Wireless Surveillance Cameras

Leave a message

Environmental Site Selection Assessment:

Light Conditions: Solar panels should be installed facing south (Northern Hemisphere), with a recommended tilt angle of 30°-45°. Ensure there are no buildings or trees obstructing the view to maximize energy conversion efficiency.

Signal Testing: Before installation, use a mobile phone to test the on-site 4G signal strength, prioritizing the strongest network from the chosen operator. If the signal is weak, consider adding a network bridge.

Installation Height: The recommended installation height for the camera is 2.5-3 meters, with a coverage radius of approximately 8 meters. Avoid backlighting to prevent damage to the image sensor.

Tools and Accessories Check:

Basic Tools: Prepare an electric drill, screwdriver, wrench, level, measuring tape, insulating tape, and waterproof duct tape.

Accessories Verification: Check that the solar panel, camera, bracket, ground cage (for pole erection), 4G SIM card, and MicroSD memory card are complete.

Special scenarios: If it is a pole installation, the foundation needs to be excavated in advance (e.g., a 6-meter pole requires an 800mm x 800mm x 1000mm pit) and the pipeline needs to be pre-buried. For simple installation, the load-bearing capacity of the wall or column needs to be confirmed.
