The basic working principle of these devices is to obtain the pet's real-time geographical location by integrating satellite positioning modules such as GPS and BeiDou, combined with multiple positioning technologies including base stations and Wi-Fi. The location data is then transmitted to the user's mobile app or cloud platform via mobile communication networks (such as 4G and NB-IoT), enabling remote, real-time tracking.
In addition to the core positioning and anti-loss function, many products also integrate features such as electronic fences, historical track playback, and health monitoring (such as activity levels). With technological advancements, pet locators are developing towards greater intelligence, integration of IoT and AI technologies, and longer battery life.
